How is everything going? Good? I don't even know why I ask that everytime. I feel like Treyson, I just don't know how to start these things.

Well I guess I could start by saying that I got emergency transferred to Maine. That's right, I'm a MAINER now!!! Ya!!! I'm chillin up in Skowhegan, Maine right now! I'm up here baptizing all of the cows and chickens and junk.

So apparently, being in a trio is super cool but also not so cool because it means that if a missionary gets sick and goes home, you're on the chopping block. And since I was the Junior Comp and Elder Morgan is going to Argentina and Elder Rodriguez is the district leader, I got the short straw. So we had zone conference Tuesday all day long and then Tuesday night at about 9:20 we got a call from President Wilkey. Basically he told me to pack up my stuff because I was leaving for Northern Maine the next day. Alright! Nothin like packing up five months of junk in a few hours! But it wasn't too bad.

I was sad to leave because I love ManchVegas but I understood the situation so I kept a positive attitude for as long as I could. So about 5 minutes. Then I slipped into depression haha. Not really, I did get to go around and say goodbye to a couple of people, namely my boy Ralph, mi primo Manuel (el es un tigre) and Bro DiIulio. It was sad cuz they didn't want me to leave but I'll see them again so it's all good. Ralph kept telling me that he was going to miss me so that made me feel good but then I felt bad cuz I didn't want to leave haha. With Manuel, he didn't want me to leave either and kept saying that I should go to Lawrence instead of Maine (I agree with the Lawrence part haha). When he would say that Elder Rodriguez would say that he was going to Lawrence and not me but Manuel would tell E.R. that he was going to go to Northern Vermont soon.

Oh and I don't think I ever told you guys but Manuel is an old Dominican member of the ward who's straight up hilarious. He hangs out at the latino barbershop all the time so we got to know some of those guys down there pretty well. When I went to say bye they gave me a super sweet tie. I don't even know where it came from. One of them (Thomas, or Toma) just went to the back room and got it. Sweet huh?

So it was rough to leave Manchester, especially so quickly, but now I'm in Skowhegan and things are great here. My new companion is Elder Jardine from Utah - Alpine I think? He looks so much like Tanner it's crazy. Sometimes I just stare at him because he reminds me so much of Tanner but then I feel like a weirdo so I stop. But he's super cool and is a great missionary so I'm excited to learn a lot from him and to tear up SkowVegas! And yes they do actually refer to this place as Skowvegas but it's super spread out so I don't know why.

Want to hear the best news!? I can send you pictures now!!!! The computers here allow that so I'm going to send the first 4-5 months of my mission today! Hooray!

I also have a new address so please send letters to 164 Madison Ave. #6 Skowhegan, ME 04976. Packages come to this address too so don't send those to the mission office anymore. Thanks!

Also, the end of the transfer is the 10th of June so I could end up leaving this place then. I doubt it but it's possible. President Wilkey said he wasn't sure how long this would be and told me to keep practicing my Spanish! Yes!!! I was so excited to hear that! Also Elder Morgan could get his visa tomorrow or in a month so if he gets it soon then he has to leave and then another change could be made. So right now I'm just livin it up here as if it's going to be my area for a while!

I also went to Brewer/Bangor Maine on exchanges and I found a picture of Sam Dastrup! It was just hanging on the wall in the Zone Leaders apartment, I guess he was a travelling ZL and was there for some time. I took a picture of it to show you cuz I thought it was cool.

So many things happened this week that I can't even write about them all. But basically, I found out that in Brewer they have huge waterfront concerts in the summer and a band called godsmack was there. They're pretty big I guess and when they were playing we could hear them through all of the streets and neighborhoods even though we were miles away. That was pretty cool. We also saw some really cool Mainers. And by cool I mean weird and dressed in the opposite gender, again. Great stuff.

So this week I have my first baptism! Obviously I won't be doing it since nobody knows me, yet. But it's still my first one and I'm stoked about it. Then we have another coming up on May 31! I had no idea that Skowhegan was doing so well! I love it haha. The bishop of our ward is pretty cool from what I've seen and he's about 4 feet tall. No joke, he is super short and small haha it's awesome!

Well I have no more time, I love you all and will talk with you soon! Keep it up!

Happy Mother's Day!

I want to begin by admitting that I'm a bad son. I realized after I hung up the phone last night that I failed to tell you (mom) and Mal happy mother's day. It's Mal's first one and I totally spaced it. Oh, well...

Well I don't have much time today because of some lame stuff but I will write as long as I can. This week the biggest miracle was setting a baptismal date with Ralph!! We committed him to June 27 and he accepted! I was so excited when he said yes! We gave him June 27 so that it was far enough away to help him feel comfortable but we plan on moving it up once he is ready. He's doing so awesome and told us that he prayed to know if these things are true and he feels that he received his answer! Haitians all the way!

So last week was stake conference over here and we had the privilege of hearing two members of the Seventy speak. One was Elder Gordon Smith from Oregon and he totally blew it out of the water! He was awesome! I also had the privilege of meeting Missionary Frank. Missionary Frank is the best! He's this guy up in Concord and he has some disabilities but he's soooo funny! He looks kind of like the turtle guy from Master of Disguise and he is really short. He also claims to be President Monson's personal secretary which means that he has to check up on all of the missionaries he meets. He has to make sure they're keeping the commandments. When I met him the first thing he said was, "Elder, are you being obedient?" I laughed and said yes and he said, "Good. (Then pointing to my Zone Leader) This guy is a bad missionary. He doesn't preach the gospel, he's too busy running around chasing the girls!" I just laughed and told him that he needs to keep the zone leaders in shape. He agreed and told me about his standing as President Monson's secretary. Then the meeting began to start so I couldn't talk longer but I'm going to Concord on exchange soon so I hope to see him again. I also hear that he has made up a song for the missionaries and sings it for them. I'm going to do my best to get that song on my camera for all of you to hear!

This week we taught one of our gators with a baptismal date named Ken. And as we were teaching him (outside in the yard by his apartment building) this guy dressed as a woman walks over to a nearby bench and sits down. I forget what it's called when guys do that but this guy was definitely trying to be a woman. Well I just did my best to pay attention to the lesson (especially since I was leading it) and kept teaching. The entire time I'm teaching this guy is puffing on his pipe and he is positioned just to the side of my gators head which makes it difficult to not notice. He smoked that thing so hard that he had to fill it with tobacco every 2 minutes. It was pretty distracting and I kept glancing over at him every time he refilled it. He was wearing a dress, tennis shoes, glasses, and a gardening hat and for some reason he also kept tying his shoes. The problem was that he would lift his foot up on the bench to tie his shoes and his dress kept going up nearly to his hip. But wait, there's more. Then he stands up and starts doing push ups on the ground while facing away from us which means that our view of him is quite pleasant. It was so hard not to laugh the entire time because I couldn't look away at all. I just had to keep teaching the lesson as best as I could. Then after his push ups the guy gets up and pulls out his pipe again. He also pulls out a second pipe! So now he's puffing on two pipes after having done some push ups. Talk about distracting! Well we finish up the lesson and as soon as we say the closing prayer, the guy takes off. He was totally there to mess with us! Don't tell me that there isn't opposition in all things! But it made for some pretty good laughs later on and the lesson went really well so he didn't get to us!

So to end on a more spiritual note....I have told some of you how awesome President Wilkey is but I thought I would prove it to you. During transfer meeting he was about to give his spiritual thought but decided to take a different course. He asked a recent convert woman to come up and share her testimony with us. It was super awesome and we all felt the Spirit. Then he proceeded to ask another woman to come up and share her testimony with us. It turns out that this woman isn't a member but is rather a "eternigator" that knows the Wilkey's. She came up, quite hesitantly, and bore her testimony on how our diligence really does pay off and how we need to stick with people as long as we can. During her testimony she began to cry a little but afterwards President WIlkey got up with her and began to share her story. Then he asked her, "Kelly, I know you know that this is true." To which she responded in the affirmative. Then he said, with tears in his eyes, "Kelly, will you accept the Savior's invitation and be baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God?" SHE SAID YES!!! Last night I just heard that she now has a date set and is super excited for it! President Wilkey is the man! Or, el es un tigre! He is so incredible, I love being here in Manchester where I can see him often. We all need to be more like him and follow our Savior Jesus Christ as much as possible.

I love you all and wish you the best. Please pray for Ralph! He's sooo close!

Nos Vemos!

It's a boy!!!! (Thanks Elder Lewis)

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!!!!

Hey! Como tu ta primo? It sounds like things are heating up in AZ as school is about to get out. It's weird to think that school is about to get out because it's always hot at the end of the year but over here it's still in the 40's and 50's! In fact Elder Morgan( (MY SON!!!!) didn't see the sun until almost a week after being in Manchvegas.

Oh ya, it's a boy! And his name is Morgan! Haha but that's just his last name. He's from Layton, Utah and should be here for 5 weeks until he goes to Argentina. His other mission (besides Manchvegas) is the Buenos Aires West mission. Oh and guess what else? He was Elder David Archuleta's Zone Leader the entire time in the MTC!!! He has pictures with him and saw him everyday that he was there haha. It's hilarious because whenever we play the David Archuleta Christmas CD he feels weird listening to it. It makes sense cuz I would feel weird if my comps were listening to one of my friends that they didn't know. But Elder Morgan is super legit, he's dedicated to the work and is very grateful to be here in New Hampshire until he gets his visa. We have been speaking more Spanish than ever this week which is great because I have been slacking a lot on that. With him here it really makes me want to speak fluent Dominican! I'm dedicated to learning it now!

Well unfortunately I don't have a ton of time today but I wanted to say happy birthday to those that have gotten wiser lately. So.... Happy Birthday! I think Jake had a bday and Aunt Stella too. We finally made my bday cake today over at the AP's apartment and it came out good.

So I guess I will just cave in and say that Gemma is pretty cute. And I am a proud uncle. I only told everyone that I was an uncle that day. So some more pictures of her wouldn't hurt anything. Oh, and I got the pics you sent but the dang mailman left them on the ground when it was raining! Thankfully Walmart is boss with their packaging and they didn't get wet.

So on Monday we spent about 4 hours cleaning our apartment for the NEW MISSIONARY (we don't say greenie, EVER. If we do, President breaks our arms. Or he has me do it.) but once he got here it got messy again. Our ceiling started leaking again so we might end up moving. I don't really care cuz I think I am being transferred after this.

So for Sunday we will be calling in the evening (our time) so it may be late pm to early evening for you boys. And we will get 60 minutes TOPS to talk which is tons of time. So I will probably call your phone mom so keep it on! Well I really gotta go, I want to write more but there isn't much time so I will just talk until it runs out!

I hope Uncle Ric feels better, I sent them a letter today so they should get it unless they move super fast. Tell Papi and Seth to keep it up and to write to me! I love all of you! Remember, keep the commandments! That's all there is to it!
